FBT expand across Birmingham

FBT is delighted to announce the opening of its new office and teaching premises in the heart of one of Britain’s most vibrant cities.

The SBQ1 campus is perfectly located in the centre of Birmingham, within a short walking distance of all of its amenities and attractions. The new premises are also just four minutes walk from the transport hub of the city, New Street Station.

Affectionately known as the Victorian ‘workshop of the world’, Birmingham has a rich heritage dating back as far as the Middle Ages. The new state of the art teaching facility will give FBT students easy access to a vast range of culture and leisure activities nearby including a number of theatres, cinemas, restaurants and bars - all within a short walk of the building.

SBQ1, on Smallbrook Queensway, will host a number of different classes, including the newly formed English School. Designed for international students, the programmes are offered at a range of different ability levels from pre-intermediate to advanced. The courses are designed to equip students with the level of English they need to live, work and study in the UK.

Commenting on the new facility and course Conor Booth, FBT School of English Programme Manager, said: "I’m delighted to be working with FBT here in Birmingham; the heart of England. Our location is second to none. It’s a great city and a really exciting opportunity as we expand the School of English to offer more courses to more students.

"Our facilities are excellent, our teaching has great feedback from students and we’ve just invested in lots of new teacher and student resource materials. The atmosphere here is very positive and I have been getting excellent support from FBT staff here and LSBF School of English staff in London," he added.

FBT will also continue to operate out of its main Birmingham campus just one minute’s walk away on Hill Street, where students have access to a range of facilities including a fully equipped library and a multi-faith prayer room.
